New Pattern Release
Introducing the London Memories Socks, another addition to our fabulous Memories Socks series. These socks were born from our adventures on the World Wide Knit in Public day this summer. We took part in a delightful yarn crawl, exploring three incredible yarn shops in northern London while traversing the Transport for London. You might even spot their iconic logo nestled within the foot section of the sock. And the towering cityscape that adorns the leg perfectly captures London's essence.
The pièce de résistance of this pattern lies in the afterthought heel. One of our fellow yarn crawl participants diligently knitted a long sock tube. She said she'll add the heel later when she gets more time to focus and less socialising. Talk about the perfect excuse for an afterthought heel!
And here's where it gets interesting: instead of the usual trapezoid afterthought heel, you can experiment with a Dutch heel using a reinforced slip stitch pattern. And the usual sole gusset for an impeccable fit is there, too. All in all, it is an extraordinary knitting experience!
Don't hesitate to check out our recorded Q&A session on Instagram or YouTube to explore this topic further! It's packed with helpful knowledge and some ideas for modifications to make this even more unique.
When downloading the pattern from Ravelry, Etsy, or zaneteknits.com, simply enter the code LONDON at checkout to snag a fantastic 20% off until November 5th, 23:59 GMT. We hope you will have a great time experimenting with this! Please don't hesitate to share your thoughts and feedback with us. We can't wait to hear what you think!
New Test Call
We've got another something special for all the sock knitting enthusiasts. Vaidava Memories Socks pattern is looking for a group of testers to take it for a spin. This time, we're taking an unusual approach with a cuff-down sock pattern featuring twisted stitch cables in the leg. However, the traditional Zanete Knits sole gusset remains an element of the design.
If you're curious about the design and want to join the testing, check out the blog post for all the juicy details!
Please note that the form will open starting from 2:30 PM BST to be as all-timezone-friendly as possible. If you get to secure a spot, we look forward to having you join us on this exciting journey!
