A sweater for the spring

[object Object]

Hello!

I hope you are doing well.

I'm in the middle of packing a suitcase as we're on our way to visit my family in Latvia after more than 2.5 years of not seeing them. But before I pack up my laptop, I wanted to write a quick word about a couple of things.

Firstly, Thank you so much for supporting the Slava Ukraini sweater project. I can't quite believe how warmly this has been received. Together we have raised more than $3,000, which I have donated to three different charities helping with humanitarian aid and supporting the Ukrainian armed forces.

Secondly, today I'm releasing another pattern for Amber Blossoms - a top-down round colourwork yoke sweater, my first time in fingering weight yarn.

When I saw the gorgeous skeins of Magpie Fibers Solo fingering, my eyes were instantly drawn to the Bad & Bougie colourway. It reminded me of the simple stone amber formed from pine bark resin millions of years ago. It has long been an important gemstone in Latvia.

Once again, I've used Latvian motifs and let the colourwork run deep into the body and sleeves. It's available in 8 sizes with adjustable lengths for yoke, sleeves and body.

Yarn kits for this pattern are available in gorgeous colour combinations at Magpie Fibers online store.

Colourful spring knitting,

Zanete
