New Pattern Release

Introducing the newest addition to the Zanete Knits pattern collection—the Texo Sweater! Inspired by our trip to Dublin and the abundance of traditional Aran sweaters, this cable-knit pattern is a bit of a spectacle. Its name, derived from Latin, embodies the intricate construction of this Aran-weight sweater.

One of its standout features is the versatile collar that can be worn as a high neck or a wide v-neck—perfect for expressing your unique style. Crafted seamlessly from the top down, this sweater boasts long side slits and a deep neck opening, creating a captivating visual effect.

It may look impressive and easily passes as a statement piece, but knitting itself is not as intimidating as it appears. Let's hear what one of our amazing test knitters had to say:

"Your pattern is very easy to understand even for someone like me whose native language is not English. There were some techniques I learned for the first time, but there were videos, so I didn't have to worry."  ~ Aya

The slightly asymmetrical main cable and the honeycomb cable, worked with a subtle offset, add an intriguing twist to the design. All in all, this engaging knit puts a fresh and modern spin on the timeless Aran sweater tradition.

My Christmas cast-on is all set, and we're excited to have your critical eye on it. We're looking for a team of test knitters to help us bring this classic v-neck in fingering-weight yarn aka Consonance Sweater to life.

It's almost entirely seamless, except for a small section near the collar. The pattern is created for male measurements but can easily be adjusted to create a unisex garment. You'll have a couple of months to complete it and share your feedback and suggestions. Head over to the latest blog post to read all about the design and how to sign up.
