New Pattern Release
The Tempo sweater is a classic v-neck with a modern twist. It has an adjustable neckline depth and can even be turned into a cardigan. It's knit seamlessly from the top down with an elegant European shoulder. Vertical twisted stitch columns add texture and give it its name. It's most suited for intermediate-level knitters as it includes lots of short rows for shaping in the sleeve cap, but if you're an adventurous beginner, we've got a short row workshop coming up; read on to find out more. Knitters should also be able to read their knitting to keep the twisted rib pattern aligned. Most of the body is worked flat, and the wrong side consists mainly of knit stitches. With bigger needles and a loose gauge, it's a quick knit.
The sweater was designed in collaboration with Moondrake Co, using their luxurious Fuwa Fuwa Sport weight yarn. This soft, airy yarn perfectly enhances the sweater's lightweight, cosy feel while maintaining its structure and texture. A fluffy yarn like this is recommended to create an airy texture and fill the gaps between stitches.
Test knitters are truly the heart and soul of pattern development. Their helpful feedback and a keen eye for detail made a big difference to the Tempo sweater, and I can't thank them enough for their amazing contributions. Here's what some of them had to say about the experience:
"My husband says sexy!! I love the "it!" (Tracy, @‌you_had_me_at_textiles)" Â
"Never again do I want to go back to old patterns with a separate back, front and sleeves that have to be sewn up. It is fun to work on different modern constructions and Tempo may be a favourite. It is really put together elegantly. I like the shoulder line and the sleeve caps are just perfect." (Alette, @‌net.alette)

Sweet Violet Sweater release
The exciting new pattern for the floral yoke collection, created in collaboration with Hobbii Yarn, features fingering-weight yarn. Colour-changing yarn does its magic from the outside, and so does the Ladderback Jacquard technique on the inside, which helps to manage long floats. The release is close—stay tuned for the next newsletter!
A lace and colourwork yoke sweater test
This yet-unnamed design is currently in the making, but that doesn't mean we can't make plans for the testing phase. This project experiments with a combination of stranded colourwork and lace techniques. Additionally, optional bobbles are included in the design to add extra texture. This project is intended for sport-weight yarn and is best suited for colour combinations with subtle contrast. However, it may not be suitable for colour-changing or variegated yarns this time.
