Could The Regalia Sweater Be Your Next Cast-on?

New Pattern Release

I'm so delighted to share the Regalia Sweater pattern with you—it's our first pattern release of the year, and it's a big one!

This is my first-ever design to be released in five languages—English, French, Spanish, German and Dutch (with Danish coming soon).

Also, it's my first design to combine colourwork with cables, lace, and bobbles. It all came together beautifully. This top-down seamless sweater is all about the little details. It will keep you engaged from start to finish. And when you wear it, get ready to feel like royalty—it's a bit of a showstopper!

This pattern is a collaboration with Bare Naked Wools, and I couldn't be happier to work with their Modern Deco Sport yarn. It's a dream to knit with, especially for designs where stitch definition really matters. For my sample, I chose the Titanium colourway for the main body and Chrome for the yoke details. These subtle contrasts make the textured stitches pop beautifully. Carry on reading for a special offer to try out this yarn.

The pattern is designed to support you every step of the way, with video tutorials for key techniques like cabling without a cable needle, making half-double crochet bobbles, short rows for a raised back neck, and a clean, professional tubular bind-off. You'll also find two charts—one for a light main colour and one for a dark one—so you don't need to invert anything mentally.

Because it's worked top-down, you'll have full control to customise the length of the yoke, body, and sleeves for a fit that's just right for you. It also includes an option to add waist shaping.

I've created a deep-dive video on my YouTube channel where I walk you through the design in detail. In the video, I break down the pattern's elements and share tips.

New Test Call

This Lightfall Sweater started out as a hood, but it felt so good that it just had to become a jumper instead! 😊

I saw a couple of gorgeous colours side by side at @knitwithmeuk and had to make something.

Working colourwork with boucle yarn is already quite a sensory experience, but this design also has a few purl and twisted stitches for added texture and to keep things interesting.

This top-down seamless sweater is ready for testing. If you fancy making a quick sweater with a big gauge (16 sts & 24 rows = 10 cm / 4"), add your details in the registration form. It will open on Wednesday, January 15th, at 3 PM GMT to give a fair chance across many timezones.

In other news...

I'm getting ready for Vogue Knitting LIVE and starting to pack my bags! That means winding up quite a few skeins of yarn to take with me for the long trip ahead. I have lots of knitting planned to keep me busy on the way.

If you're attending VKL, I'd love to meet you! A fun meet-up will be on Saturday, January 18th, at 1 PM. I don't have exact location at the moment, but it will be at the venue and I'll share it on social media on the day, so keep an eye out for updates.

I'm really looking forward to saying hello to some of you at VKL! And if you can't make it there, maybe I'll see you later at Do Ewe Knit? Either way, I can't wait to connect and share all the knitting fun!
