As we prepare for the launch of Yoke Meditation Series 5, we're thrilled to offer a beautiful selection of the original yarn, perfect for adding a striking contrast colour to your project. This allows you to capture the essence of the original design while making it uniquely yours.

Untamed yarn is a rare find, made at the historic Pāce Wool Factory in Dundaga, Latvia. Dating back to the late 19th century, this mill is full of tradition, using its original machinery that you won't find anywhere else. The wool comes from locally sheared sheep, keeping a close connection to the Latvian countryside.

The washing process is as natural as wool: they use filtered pond water and salt to clean the fibres with no chemicals gently. This way, up to 70% of the wool's natural lanolin is preserved—a remarkable substance that keeps you warm in winter, cool in summer, and even has some health perks. The yarn feels vibrant in your hands, linking you to its roots with every touch.

This single-ply yarn is minimally processed and retains little bits of the land it came from, adding authenticity to every project. With long, smooth gradients and no marling, it creates fluid colour transitions, perfect for stranded colourwork projects when you pair it with a neutral solid colour yarn of similar weight. The stitches blend together as you knit, forming a lovely, watercolour-like fabric.

Each skein of Untamed is unique, offering limited-edition colourways that are not the same. It's more than just yarn. It's a story of heritage, craftsmanship, and the natural beauty of Latvian wool, all spun into every fibre.

Finished chest circumference:

• 91.5 (101.5, 110, 121.5, 130, 141.5, 150, 161.5, 170) cm
• 36½ (40½, 44, 48½, 52, 56½, 60, 64½, 68)”

Designed to be worn with 10-15 cm / 4-6” positive ease around the chest. 

To choose the most appropriate size, measure the wearer's chest and add the preferred ease. Or measure the circumference of an already-owned sweater that fits well. Then find the closest finished chest circumference.

For those with a bust size larger than a C cup, it's advisable to use the upper bust measurement plus the desired ease to ensure the sweater fits well around the shoulders, with slightly less ease around the full bust.

• 280 (300, 325, 345, 370, 395, 425, 445, 485) yds
