New Pattern Release

Introducing the 9th sock pattern in our Memories series - the Vogue Knitting LIVE (VKL) Memories socks! The project is a toe-up, all-over stranded colourwork design inspired by our trip to the Vogue Knitting Live event in New York earlier this year. The marbled pattern gives off fancy vibes, just like the feeling we got when hanging out at the knitters' palace in New York.

Pretty much every test knitter mentioned how comfy they are - thanks to the sole gusset, plus the reinforced heel makes them extra sturdy. With short-row shaping, the heel is nice and rounded.

All these techniques are described in the pattern, but if you are more like a visual learner/knitter, you will enjoy the FULL tutorial where everything is covered from toe to cuff. The video is already available on our YouTube channel.

New Test Call

The next fingering weight addition to the floral yoke collection, Sea Aster Sweater, is ready for testing. The colourwork has some long stitches, and the Ladderback Jacquard method is suggested to keep it neat. Pattern includes charts with Ladderback Jacquard stitch placements, as well as for light and dark main colours.

The sweater has a unique detail on the neckband, cuffs, and hem, giving it a lovely textured finish. The design is a collaboration with Townhouse Yarns, and selected test knitters will get a special deal from This is Knit if they wish to try out the gorgeous Townhouse Yarns.

Yoke Meditation Series 5 release

This sport-weight addition to the Yoke Meditation Series takes inspiration from Buddhist Mandalas, designed to help knitters really get into their projects and leave their worries behind. It absolutely did that for me.

I was using a 100% Latvian rustic Single-ply wool, processed and spun at Pāces Vilnas Fabrika. The yarn is so sticky the colours practically melt together as you knit!

I've got a range of some awesome gradient colourways in my Etsy shop. I recommend pairing it with a very neutral main colour.

Nevaeh Sweater Test

This spontaneous cabled sweater idea popped into my head while I was getting my hair dyed a chocolatey colour, and my stylist mentioned Nevaeh as a name he would like for his baby girl—it's Heaven spelt backwards. I thought it was so cute and had to name the sweater after it. 🥰 I had this perfect yarn gifted from @knitandnote so I jumped right into designing it!
