"Refresh your stash" kind of project

[object Object]

I feel like I've had so many things to share lately; thank you for keeping up with my news! :) I will keep this one short.

Today is the publication day of my latest summer design: Refreshing Tee. It is a ribbed v-neck t-shirt, worked seamlessly from the top down with raglan shaping.

This design was born for practical reasons rather than as an artistic expression of some inspiration source. Every once in a while, one just needs to deal with some of that stash. Refresh it, so to speak, by making room for new skeins.

I cast on a few stitches and let the yarn dictate the terms, and before too long, it was a ribbed t-shirt with which I'm super pleased. I'm amazed how sometimes just letting go brings on the most marvellous results. And the breezy linen-merino mix made me think of mint ice cream every time I picked it up. Unexpectedly refreshing for a knitting project!

It is using half brioche or half fisherman's rib, you name it, the result is the same. The instructions use brioche terminology and abbreviations, but to me, half fisherman's rib just sounds better, so I've called it that. At the end of the day, it's the outcome that matters.

The pattern comes in sizes with a finished bust circumference of 86-156cm / 34½-62½" and uses fingering weight yarn.
