New Pattern Release
It's only been a week since our last newsletter, and we're still buzzing from our 5th anniversary and that nostalgic trip down memory lane. A huge thank you for celebrating with us—it was heartwarming to see so many of you adding more of our patterns to your collections.
Today, we're excited to introduce the newest addition to the Memories Socks collection: the 8th pair, which takes us to Brooklyn, New York, USA.
Our visit to Vogue Knitting Live in January included a quick day trip to Brooklyn's sights and a stroll across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. The city outline and the crossing experience stood out and inspired the design. A reflection of the Brooklyn Bride is featured in the leg.
As per tradition, the Brooklyn Memories Socks is a toe-up sock pattern that also features a sole gusset and a reinforced heel flap. You can choose to work with the traditional trapezoid toe or an anatomical shape.
To pack the project with Brooklyn's vibrant spirit as much as possible, we used the Brooklyn General Store exclusive Spincycle Yarns Dyed In the Wool colourway Noctuidae as the contrast colour yarn.
For comprehensive details on construction, techniques, tips, and tricks, explore our pattern deep dive on YouTube.
According to one of our veteran test knitters, this pattern is among the easiest in the series. This could be the ideal starting point if you still need to begin our sock series.

New Test Call
The Chorus Camisole is going to be an exciting test! For the first time, I'm incorporating short-row bust darts into larger sizes, stepping out of my comfort zone of boxy, easy-fitting garments to focus more on precision and fit. I've had to make numerous assumptions about how the body scales in that area, and given my own flat figure, I can't always test these on myself.
I'm seeking a group of testers willing to experiment with me. When reaching the bust dart section, I hope you'll stay in close communication and share your feedback as the process unfolds.
Once perfected, this will be a charming camisole, worked from the top down, with an easily adjustable strap and body length for comfort. Read all about it in our latest blog post.
This project collaborates with the Knit With Me yarn shop, which generously sponsored the beautiful linen yarn.
To be as fair as possible to knitters across all time zones, we'll open the registration form today at 3pm BST.
In other news...
If you're curious about what's coming up next month, here's a sneak peek of our plans:
Arpeggio Top
We've got two releases dropping on the same day: the Arpeggio Top, made in collaboration with Peacockyarn.se, experts in dyeing plant-based fibres. This top is crafted from Tencel yarn, using a fingering weight-held double for a chunkier gauge. The top-down seamless design offers a sleeveless tank option and a set-in sleeve with a short-row-shaped cap.
Testers voted it the best-fitting top, and we can't wait to share it with you all!
Dreamweft Sweater
The other design is my take on the trendy mesh fabric. The Dreamweft sweater uses light fingering weight yarn, which is perfect for layering on really warm days (those big holes won't block any breeze). I've lost count of how many times people have asked if it's crochet. I love that knitters have to stop and think about the technique involved :D. Plus, it's gotten me tons of compliments, so we're excited to publish it and see more of these out there.
A heads up: the stitch pattern tends to twist, but blocking can help a bit. However, the twist might still be noticeable if you don't like or don't add the recommended positive ease.
We'd appreciate you passing along our newsletter to fellow knitting enthusiasts. Please encourage them to subscribe via this link to stay updated with the don't from Zanete Knits. Thank you so much for your assistance!
