(TEST IS NOW FULL) Deadline: 5-Mar-23
I am starting a test for #aeternumsweater - the sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down in DK+strand of mohair or one strand of worsted weight yarn. Note that this is an intermediate-difficulty pattern, as you need to be able to read your knitting and align increased stitches in 4x2 pattern.
I’m looking for 1-2 testers of each size below who can complete this project by the 5th of March, 2023.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
Finished chest circumference:
- 93.5 (106.5, 113.5, 126.5, 133.5, 146.5, 153.5, 166.5)
- 37.25 (42.75, 45.25, 50.75, 53.25, 58.75, 61.25, 66.75)″
Designed to be worn with 13.5-26.5 cm / 5¼-10¾” ease, to fit busts with circumference:
- 70-80 (80-90, 90-100, 100-110, 110-120, 120-130, 130-140, 140-150) cm

Gauge: 18 sts & 26 rows = 10 cm / 4″ in 4x2 rib after blocking.
Suggested needles:
- 4.5 mm (US 7) circulars 60-100 cm / 24-40″ long
- 4 mm (US 6) circulars and/or DPNs for small-circumference knitting
Notions: Stitch markers, row counter, scissors, tape measure, stitch holders or waste yarn, spare DPN/circular needle in the smaller size, tapestry needle, locking markers, 4-5 15 mm / ⅝″ buttons.
Techniques used: Short rows, lifted increases, decreases, backwards loop cast-on, double knitting, stretchy bind-off.
Difficulty: Intermediate.
Notes: The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. Back stitches are cast-on, the shoulders are shaped using short rows and then worked straight down to underarm. Stitches for each front shoulder are picked up along the back shoulders and worked separately with increases shaping the front neckline, both fronts are joined and worked in one piece straight down to underarm. Back and front are joined together and continued straight in one piece down to full length. Stitches for sleeves are picked up along the armholes and worked in the round with decreases down to wrists. Stitches for the neckband are picked up along the neckline and 4x2 rib worked in the round to desired length. Double-knit button bands with buttonholes are added on last.
