We're starting a test for #brooklynmemoriessocks toe-up construction in fingering weight yarn. Note that this is an intermediate difficulty pattern.

We're looking for a few testers for each size who can complete at least 1 sock by the 30th of May, 2024.

Finished foot circumference: 

• 17.5 (20, 22.5) cm
• 7 (8, 9)”

Yarn: Fingering or sock weight, depending on the length of the socks, allow approximately:

Main colour:

• 230 (280, 330) m
• 255 (310, 365) yds

Contrast colour:

• 105 (120, 135) m
• 115 (130, 145) yds

Yarn used in sample (size 2) is 1 skein of Little Fox Vixen in colourway Whisker as main colour and 1 skein of Spincycle Yarns Dyed In The Wool in the Brooklyn General Store exclusive colourway Noctuidae as contrast colour.

Gauge: 32 sts & 38 rows = 10 cm / 4″ in stockinette stitch in the round, blocked.

Suggested needles: 2-2.25 mm (US 0-1) circulars or DPNs for small circumference knitting.

Notions: Stitch markers, row counter, tape measure, removable stitch markers or bobby pins.

Techniques used: Judy's magic cast-on, Japanese short rows, lifted increases, stranded colourwork, tubular bind-off.

Construction notes: The socks are knitted from the toe up.
