Deadline: 19-Mar-23
I’m starting a test for #dublinmemoriessocks - toe-up construction. Note that this is an intermediate difficulty pattern.
I’m looking for a few testers for each size who can complete this project by the 19th of March, 2023.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3)
Finished foot circumference:
- 17.5 (20, 22.5) cm
- 7 (7¾ , 8¾)″

Yarn: fingering weight, allow approximately:
Main colour (MC):
- 325 (385, 445) m
- 355 (420, 490) yds
Contrast colour (CC):
- 50 (60, 65) m
- 55 (65, 70) yds
Yarn used in sample (size 2) is 1 skein of Kremke Soul Wool Lazy Linen (80% wool; 20% linen; 420 m [459 yds]/100 g) in colourway 02 as main colour and 1 skein of RiverKnits Chimera (100% BFL wool; 195m [213 yds ]/ 50 g) in colourway Fire as contrast colour.
Gauge: 32 sts & 42 rows = 10 cm / 4″ in stockinette stitch in the round, blocked.
Suggested needles: 2-2.25 mm (US 1-1½) circulars or DPNs for small circumference knitting.
Notions: Crochet hook (similar size as the knitting needles), stitch markers, row counter, tape measure, removable stitch markers or bobby-pins.
Techniques used: Japanese short rows, lifted increases, stranded colourwork, stretchy bind-off.
Construction notes: The socks are worked from the toe up with gusset increases on the bottom of the foot instead of the sides. After turning the heel and working the heel flap, the leg is worked in the round with colorwork sections and increases. The sock is finished with a 2x2 rib and a stretchy bind-off for 2x2.
