TEST IS NOW FULL.
Deadline: 18th-Aug-24
We're starting a test for #pinklotuscardigan - Sport weight yarn cardigan worked seamlessly from the top down.
Note that this is an intermediate difficulty pattern.
We're looking for 1-2 testers of each size below who can complete this project by the 18th of August, 2024.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)
Finished chest circumference:
- 92 (104.5, 114, 123, 132, 143, 152, 163, 172) cm
- 37 (42, 45.5, 49.25, 53, 57.25, 61, 65.25, 69)”
Designed to be worn with 10-15 cm / 4-6” positive ease around the chest.
To choose the most appropriate size, measure the wearer's chest and add the preferred ease. Or measure the circumference of an already-owned garment that fits well. Then find the closest finished chest circumference.

Other details of the design:

Main colour (MC):
- 815 (890, 960, 1030, 1110, 1190, 1265, 1355, 1425) m
- 895 (975, 1050, 1125, 1210, 1300, 1385, 1480, 1555) yds
Contrast colour (CC):
- 315 (350, 380, 410, 440, 475, 500, 535, 565) m
- 345 (385, 415, 450, 480, 515, 550, 585, 615) yds
Yardage is based on the straight fit option.
Yarns used in sample (size 2, with waist shaping) is mYak Tibetan Fibers Tibetan Cloud (100% Tibetan Wool; 300 m [328 yds] / 100 g): 3 skeins of Passiflora as main colour (MC), 2 skeins of Cherry Blossom as contrast colour (CC).
Gauge: 24 sts & 32 rows = 10 cm / 4” in Stockinette stitch and colourwork in the round, blocked. Swatch both plain stockinette and colourwork, as you might need to change needle sizes to maintain the gauge. Block your swatch the same way you plan to block your garment and let it fully dry before measuring the gauge.
Suggested needles: 2.75 mm (US 2) circulars 60-100 cm / 24-40” long and/or DPNs for small circumference knitting
Notions: Stitch markers, locking stitch markers or bobby pins, row counter, stitch holder, tapestry needle, 5-6 25 mm / 1” buttons.
Techniques used: Knitting in the round, short rows, stranded knitting, lifted increases, ladderback jacquard (optional).
Notes: The cardigan is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down with steek stitches added in the middle. The cardigan offers an option to move sleeves towards the back to accommodate relatively larger busts, and optional waist shaping instructions.
After body and sleeves are finished, collar stitches are picked up around the neckline and worked in 1x1 rib to double height, folded and then attached to the base. 1x1 rib button bands with one-row buttonholes are added before securing and cutting the cardigan open.
