(TEST IS FULL) TEST CALL: Regalia Sweater

[object Object]

TEST IS NOW FULL.

Deadline: 29th-Dec-24

We're starting a test for #regaliasweater - Sport weight yarn sweater worked seamlessly from the top down. The ability to read charts is required.

Note that this is an intermediate difficulty pattern.

We're looking for a few testers for each size who can complete this project by the 29th of December, 2024.

Difficulty: Intermediate. The ability to read charts is required.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)

Finished chest circumference:

  • 91.5 (101.5, 110, 120, 131.5, 140, 151.5, 160, 170) cm
  • 36¾ (40¾, 44, 48, 52¾, 56, 60¾, 64, 68)”

Designed to be worn with 10-15 cm / 4-6” positive ease around the chest.

To choose the most appropriate size, measure the wearer's chest and add the preferred ease. Or measure the circumference of an already-owned sweater that fits well. Then find the closest finished chest circumference.

Gauge: 24 sts & 32 rows = 10 cm / 4” in Stockinette stitch and colourwork in the round, blocked. You can use repeats of chart rows 52-55 for swatching. Swatch both plain stockinette and colourwork, as you might need to change needle sizes to maintain the gauge. Block your swatch the same way you plan to block your sweater and let it fully dry before measuring the gauge.

Suggested needles

  • 2.75 mm (US 2) circulars 60 cm / 24” long and/or DPNs for small circumference knitting

Notions: Stitch markers, locking stitch markers, crochet hook, 2 cable needles or DPNs for temporary holding cable stitches, row counter, stitch holder, tapestry needle, tape measure.

Techniques used: Knitting in the round, short rows, trapping floats in stranded knitting, lifted increases, cables knitting, making bobbles.
