Transition to winter in style with Marquisette Sweater

[object Object]

Hello,
I know it was only last week when I appeared in your inbox with a bunch of news, but I can't keep away.

I have got another quick tidbit to share. One more pattern joins my extended release list this month: the Marquisette Sweater.

It's a great summer-to-winter transitional piece, inspired by the marquisette fabric and featuring see-through mesh sections all over. The simple cut offers easy styling for dressing up or down, and the romantic balloon sleeves add a touch of elegance.

The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, making the length of sleeves and body easily adjustable. The interchange between the stockinette stitch and mesh sections offers a nice balance between focus and relaxation while knitting. But most uniquely, a combination of exciting knitting techniques creates the decorative edging that sets this design apart from others.

Thank you to all the testers who have patiently awaited the release date to share their unique sweaters. Your projects have brought me lots of joy, and your help in getting the pattern out has been invaluable!

The pattern calls for using sleek yarns with excellent drape, as the mesh sections have a different stitch gauge and create bulging. I love it as a design element for this sweater. Still, it can get exaggerated and lose elegance when using light and airy or woolly yarns.

Happy knitting,

Zanete
