New Pattern Release
Today, we've got not one but two patterns to share with you!
Let us introduce a collaboration project with Lamana Yarns in their Como Grande - the Undertone Sweater.
It strikes a perfect harmony between texture and subtlety, tributing to the elegance of simplicity and the impact of detailed craftsmanship. The sweater might initially seem understated. However, a closer look reveals its architectural sophistication through its cables' rich, textured patterns.
Worked seamlessly from the top down using worsted or heavy DK weight yarn, the intricate cable pattern weaves a captivating visual and tactile narrative. This technique adds layers of depth and dimension, transforming the garment into an exquisite piece of wearable art.
If you'd like to know more, we've uploaded a deep-dive video on YouTube that covers all the elements of making this sweater.
Another exciting aspect of this release is that thanks to Lamana's translation team, it is our first pattern in German. The German version, however, is only available on Ravelry.
Get a fantastic 20% off with code SPRINGDUO on Ravelry or zaneteknits.com.
This discount can be applied to either or both patterns. Offer ends April 28th at 23:59 BST.
The other one is a quick and cosy hat—the Caprice Beanie. This design reimagines a classic with a contemporary twist. It features an inventive application of the half-brioche stitch from the top down and different increase placements for the front and back.
Its adjustable length ensures a perfect fit, whether you prefer it folded or unfolded. The reversible nature of the half-brioche stitch offers two unique styles, providing many options to match your mood and outfit.
Drawing inspiration from the musical term "Caprice" - a section showcasing a performer's skill - this design encourages you to venture into new creative territories, promising enjoyment and a standout finished piece that will turn heads.
This pattern comes with two YouTube videos:
- Pattern deep-dive: takes a deep dive into inspiration, sizing, yarn gauge, needles, construction, and techniques used, as well as the possible customisations
- Techniques and Tips: provides an in-depth tutorial covering demonstrations of all the techniques in detail.

New Test Call
Say hello to the Arpeggio top, our new summer must-have, which is now ready for testing in DKish gauge. It is created in collaboration with Peacock Yarns in their 100% Tencel Fingering held double.
This piece gives you two looks: go sleek and sleeveless, or add some sleeves. Because it is worked from the top down, you can tweak both the sleeve and body length until it fits just right. The sleeves come with neat, shaped caps thanks to some short-row magic. If you find that tricky, we've lined up some workshops to help you nail this skill.
As usual, we're opening the sign-up form at 3 PM GMT so that everyone from different time zones can join.

A Luminary Affair Collar
To celebrate the significant milestone of 20 years since Spincycle Yarns first introduced their exquisite yarns, we are excited to announce the release of a one-size, top-down stranded colourwork collar crafted in the worsted weights of Trine (No. 60) and Dream State (Absolute Zero).
The collar is seamlessly constructed from the top down, starting flat and joining in the round with steeks on each side. The colourwork motif is mirrored on the front and back.
Stay tuned for the release announcement in our next newsletter.
Flashback Top
In the realm of summer tops, we're gearing up for another test call—this time for a V-neck version of our summer tee. Designed for DK-weight yarn, it's an excellent project for using up those leftover scraps and busting through your stash. You'll have the choice to add sleeves or go sleeveless, according to your preference. Plus, it's worked seamlessly from the top down to adjust the lengths easily. Keep an eye out for the upcoming test call announcement.
