New Pattern Release

I'm excited to begin this last email of the year with the introduction of my first-ever bulky-weight project, a collaboration with Spincycle Yarns! The Fidda Mittens are designed to be your go-to quick knit for those really cold winter days. 

I paired Spincycle Yarns' colour-changing Plump in "Ghost Ranch" with Farmer’s Daughter Fibers' "Oh Dang! DK" held double, and the colour play is just stunning. 

For your own pair, you could get creative by holding together various strands of different weights. It's a fantastic stash-busting opportunity!

The cuff, closure, and thumb are worked in one solid colour, while the main body of the hand features a simple 4-stitch geometric colourwork repeat. 

This slightly atypical construction, combined with how quickly they knit up, made them a big hit with test knitters! They're made to be a quick, cosy, and special gift for the holiday season.

The great news is that the Mystery Yokealong is coming back! For the 3rd year in a row, we'll be running this exciting KAL, where the final design stays hidden until the final clue is unveiled. 

The pattern will be launched in weekly chunks, guiding you step by step to create a stunning top-down round yoke colourwork sweater. 

This year's Rujuu Sweater is a stash-busting challenge, designed for a worsted-weight gauge. You can work with a single strand of Worsted or Heavy DK yarn, or creatively combine different yarn weights held together, such as sport+lace or fingering+fingering. 

This time, you'll have the option to create either a pullover or a steeked cardigan, allowing you to choose the style you prefer. 

All the details about gauge, yardage, and how to choose colours will be shared in the next newsletter, giving you plenty of time to prepare for the release of the first clue on January 16th!
