This lightweight sweater is designed to add volume to the shoulders. It has a simple, easy-to-wear shape, but attention is drawn to the flowy ruffles running down both sides of the front. Cables, bobbles and eyelets on the cuffs and front add to its dramatic look. All stitch patterns are fully written and fully charted so you can work with your preferred method. Notes

The sweater is worked flat in pieces. On the front and the back, armhole shaping stitches are bound off and decreased. The shoulders are shaped one at a time, while neckline stitches are put on hold. Front and back are seamed at the sides and shoulders using mattress stitch. Neckline stitches are worked in the round and bound off using i-cord bind-off. Sleeves are worked flat in plain stockinette bottom up with increases to the upper arm. Sleeve cap is shaped using bind-off and decreases. Cuffs are worked flat sideways. Sides of cuff are joined to the bottom of the sleeves, and sleeves are seamed at the sides and joined to the body. Ruffle pieces are worked in Garter stitch with short rows and sewn onto the front using mattress stitch.
