Description

This pattern was first published in Latvian in the first issue of Radåm magazine as Vēlrudens Saltumā (Winterly Vibes).

Inspired by the arrangements of migrating birds in the fall, Winterly Vibes collar will keep warm not only the neck but also the shoulders. Knit up in the softest merino, it can easily become your favourite accessory. Recommended with a shirt, classic trousers or jeans, and if worn under a coat or a jacket, it easily creates an illusion of a cozy cable-knit turtleneck sweater.

Notes

The collar is worked seamlessly from the top-down. Back stitches are cast-on, the shoulders are shaped using short rows, the back is then worked straight down to desired length and bound-off using i-cord bind-off. Stitches for each front shoulder are picked up along the back shoulders and worked separately with increases shaping the front neckline. Front is then worked straight to to match the length of the back and bound off. Stitches are picked up around the neckline and 2x2 ribbing worked in the round to desired length.

Errata

p4: Back - Setup row (WS) instead of Setup row (RS)
