Other details of the design:
Yarn: Fingering weight. Depending on the length of the tee, allow approximately:
- 920 (1000, 1140, 1270, 1330, 1460, 1590, 1710) m
- 1010 (1100, 1240, 1390, 1450, 1600, 1740, 1870) yds
Yarn used in the sample (size 2) is 3 skeins of Feliz y Punto Solaris (75% Silk, 25% Linen; 400 m [437 yds]/ 100 g) in Silver colourway.
Gauge: 26 sts & 34 rows = 10 cm / 4″ in Stockinette stitch in the round and flat, after blocking.
Suggested needles:
- 2.75 mm (US 2) circulars 60-100 cm / 24-40″ long
- 2.25 mm (US 1) circulars 60-100 cm / 24-40″ long
Notions: Stitch markers, row counter, scissors, tape measure, stitch holders or waste yarn, spare DPN/circular needle in the larger size, tapestry needle, at least two locking stitch markers, 2-3 16-19 mm / ⅝-¾″ buttons.
Techniques used: Short rows, lace knitting, increases and decreases, backwards loop cast-on, double knitting, tubular bind-off.
Difficulty: Intermediate.
Notes: The tee is worked seamlessly from the top down. Back stitches are cast-on, and the shoulders are shaped using short rows and then worked straight down to the underarm. Stitches for each front shoulder are picked up along the back shoulders and worked separately with increases shaping the front neckline. Both fronts are joined and worked in one piece straight down to the underarm. Back and front are joined together and continued straight in one piece down to full length. Stitches for sleeves are picked up along the armholes and worked in the round with decreases down to wrists. Stitches for the collar are picked up along the neckline, and a 1x1 twisted rib is worked flat to the desired length. Double-knit button bands with buttonholes are added on last.
