Description
The 8th addition to the Memories Socks collection takes us to Brooklyn, New York, USA. Our visit to Vogue Knitting Live in January included a delightful day trip to Brooklyn's sights and a stroll across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. This experience inspired the leg design of this toe-up sock, which also features a sole gusset and a reinforced heel flap.
The contrast colour yarn is the Brooklyn General Store exclusive Spincycle Yarns Dyed In the Wool colourway, to pack the design with Brooklyn's vibrant spirit as much as possible. According to one of our long-time test knitters, this pattern is one of the easiest in the series. So, if you haven't yet started with our sock series, this might be the perfect one to begin with.

Notes
Start with the toes – the socks are worked from the toe-up, giving you the option to choose between a trapezoid or anatomical shape. Instead of on the sides, we've cleverly placed the gusset increases on the bottom of the foot. Once you turn the heel and work the heel flap, it's time to dive into the fun part! The leg is worked in the round and features a vibrant stranded colourwork section. And for that perfect finishing touch, we end with a 1x1 rib and a beautifully polished tubular bind-off.
