New Pattern Release
I’m so happy to finally share with you the 7th design in the Yoke Meditation Series, and this one has an amusic side. The series has always been about getting lost in colourwork when life gets too hectic, or you just need a break from the world. You cast on, settle in, and at some point, you are completely immersed in the colourwork. That is the whole point of these sweaters.
The funny thing with this one was that after casting on and knitting the yoke, I noticed tiny little ghosts in the motif. This was amusing enough, but only when I turned the garment upside down to wear it did I discover what was truly hiding in the pattern.
Once you see it, you cannot unsee it! Just know that it was not intentional, but it has become one of my favourite things about the design and does not take away from the aim of this collection.

The garment is a seamless top-down round yoke designed for a sport-weight yarn. It features a generous ease of 15-20 cm / 6-8” for a relaxed, oversized fit, and is available in nine sizes.
A standout detail is the double-knit neckband ridge. This raised line around the neckline is a detail that several test knitters called one of the favourite techniques they had ever tried.
The pattern also includes four chart options depending on whether your main colour is lighter or darker. It features options with or without Ladderback Jacquard stitch placements to manage longer floats.
I have also put together a deep-dive video covering the inspiration, construction, techniques, and possible modifications in detail.
This project is a collaboration with The Fibre Company. I knitted the sample in Cumbria Fingering in the Blenchatra shade as the main colour and Transitions in the Zephyr Melt shade as the contrast. The Transitions yarn shifts colour as the yoke grows, which adds a beautiful depth to the colourwork.
A quick note on the yarn is needed here. The Fibre Company has announced it is winding down its yarn business. If you would like to use the same yarn it is unfortunately sold out, there is still other yarns available on their website, or you can try hunting for it by browsing the inventories of the stockists.
Use the code YMS07 to get a 20% discount on the pattern at checkout on Ravelry or Etsy.
This offer is available until the 26th of April, 11.59 pm BST! Just a quick note about the discount code: if you encounter any issues, please get in touch before completing your purchase. Discounts cannot be applied once the transaction is finished.

New Test Call
It’s time to test my newest design - the Sordino Cardigan. This is a very simple top-down seamless cardigan knitted in an airy DK-weight or light worsted yarn.
The knitting itself is intentionally uncomplicated, as the entire focus of the design is the closure. The pattern is specifically designed for a frog knot closure, but you could equally install a zipper, add toggle buttons, or use whatever suits your wardrobe or your stash. I am genuinely looking forward to seeing what everyone decides to do.
Registration opens on Wednesday, the 15th of April at 3 pm BST and will remain open until all slots are filled.
A preview of what is coming up in the next newsletter…

Next time, I will be announcing the test call for the Hayat Top.
This is a special design created for the Artisan Retreats in the Alps in June, where I will be teaching. So this design includes all the techniques I will cover in the workshops.
The top is worked seamlessly from the top down, includes short- and long-sleeve options, and offers waist shaping if needed.
It features beautiful colourwork in the lower body, and the recommended yarn, of course, is the new Artisan Fibres by Fruity Knitting.
A test call will be announced soon, so watch your inbox for that one!
